Position Summary
The Tech:NYC Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Program & Events Manager to drive the operational success of our Decoded Futures program and Tech:NYC events. This role will play a critical part in documenting and solidifying processes, ensuring seamless execution of events and programming, managing communications, and supporting the internal team with administrative needs. The ideal candidate is an implementer who excels in logistics, customer service, and strategic follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Event Logistics
Manage all on-the-ground logistics for events, meetings, programming, and conferences for Decoded Futures.
Support a subset of Tech:NYC specific events under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications.
Own event timelines, vendor coordination, participant engagement, and follow-ups.
Input events and key milestones into calendars, ensuring deadlines are met.
Develop detailed run-of-show documents and contingency plans for events.
Process Documentation & Implementation
Establish and document best practices and workflows to create operational efficiency.
Track and analyze program impact, gathering data to assess effectiveness.
Provide recommendations for program improvements based on insights and observations.
Administrative & Communications Support
Own email communications, ensuring timely responses, follow-ups, and stakeholder engagement.
Send thank-you notes, updates, and confirmations to participants and partners.
Manage internal communications, looping in relevant team members as necessary.
Ensure the leadership team stays on track with administrative deadlines.
Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Service
Act as the first point of contact for program participants, partners, and vendors.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring stakeholders feel supported and informed.
Coordinate follow-ups with external partners to maintain strong relationships.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience in event planning, program operations, or nonprofit/tech initiatives.
Proven ability to manage complex logistics and multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think critically and contribute to program strategy and improvements.
Experience with process documentation and program evaluation preferred.
Proficiency in Google Suite, project management tools, and event platforms.
A proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Highly service-oriented, with a natural ability to manage relationships and communication.
A strong implementer who takes ownership and drives execution with precision.
A team player who collaborates well across different functions and teams.

Salary Range & Benefits
The target range of base salary in this role is $80,000-95,000. In addition to base salary, Tech:NYC considers other key components as part of total compensation, including annual holiday and benefits. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of candidate factors, such as skill set and level of experience.
Tech:NYC provides a generous benefits package including excellent coverage for health, vision, and dental insurance premiums; paid parental leave; time off including vacation, holidays, and sick time; and reimbursement for cellular service.
Additional Requirements
Tech:NYC currently operates under an in-person office environment Monday through Thursday, with Friday being reserved for at-home flexible work.
